May 6 – 12 is Mental Health Week
Each year in May, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) marks Mental Health Week - a week dedicated to reducing stigma, focusing on the importance of mental health, and highlighting local services, programs and supports that encourage, promote and protect mental health.
This year’s theme for Mental Health Week is #CompassionConnects. It’s a call to be kind to those living with mental health and substance use concerns and to ourselves.
Here at St. Joe’s, #CompassionConnects with our mission: Compassionate Care, Faith, Discovery and our commitment to providing exceptional care delivered with dignity and respect.
All week long, we’ll be sharing stories about the programs and services we’re proud to offer, the people who provide that care, and the clients who honestly and courageously share their lived experiences with mental health and substance use, too.

As the second largest provider of mental health and addictions services in all of Ontario, we look forward to partnering with the CMHA to honour Mental Health Week.
