St. Joe’s reaches new heights!
Four nurses from the 4 Chest Unit – Jessica Munn, Cindra Robazza, Marlee Koniuch and Sarah Hobbs – recently achieved their lofty goal of climbing to Mount Everest base camp.
They decided to go on this adventure together because, “we spend so much time together at work as nurses, and have to continuously support each other through stressful and challenging situations. When you're dealing with the physical and mental toll of a trek like Everest base camp, it's comforting to be with friends, but even more reassuring when you already know they will have your back through a tough time.”
When asked why they wanted to bring a #WeAreStJoes flag with them they said: “We're proud of the work we do at St. Joe's, and especially of the fantastic team we have on 4 Chest. The support we received from them was absolutely phenomenal, and we wanted to represent our unit, and our hospital by proudly holding the flag when we achieved our goal!”
Congratulations Jessica, Cindra, Marlee and Sarah!
